10D00101 Norfolk Southern train 350 accelerates out of the Funston Siding, heading toward Durham, N.C., early in the morning. The freight had just met a westbound/southbound Amtrak train at the siding. Off behind the trees at right is Bennett Place state historic site, the site of a major Confederate surrender at the end of the Civil War.
